NFL Too Early 2026 NFL Power Rankings

The offseason is here—but that doesn’t mean the conversation stops.

With coaching changes, breakout players, and major question marks across the league, here’s my way-too-early NFL Power Rankings for 2026, breaking down all 32 teams heading into the season.

32. New York Jets

The Jets are in full rebuild mode. The roster lacks high-end talent, and while having two first-round picks helps, this team is far from competing. It feels like a long season ahead—and don’t be surprised if a coaching change happens before the year is over.

31. Cleveland Browns

There are still too many holes across the roster, and I’m not sold on the new head coach hire. This team feels like it’s stuck in the middle—without enough talent or direction to make a real push.

30. Miami Dolphins

Quarterback uncertainty is everything in today’s NFL—and right now, Miami has a big one. Can Malik Willis actually be a starting-caliber QB in this league? Maybe. But until we see it, this team is a major question mark.

29. Arizona Cardinals

This is one of the most uncertain teams in the league. No clear answer at quarterback, a new head coach, and very little identity. Whether it’s Jacoby Brissett or Gardner Minshew, neither option screams long-term solution.

28. Washington Commanders

There’s potential here, but also a lot of unknowns. New coordinators on both sides of the ball, and while Jayden Daniels flashed as a rookie, injuries slowed things down. One strong season isn’t enough yet—he still has to prove it.

27. Tennessee Titans

A new era begins with Robert Saleh, but this is still a rebuilding roster. There’s talent, but it’s young and inconsistent. This team might be dangerous in a few years—but 2026 feels like another step in the process.

26. Las Vegas Raiders

Coming off being one of the worst teams in the league, expectations are understandably low. But there are reasons for optimism—Klint Kubiak brings an exciting offensive system, and No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza could change everything. This team could rise fast.

25. New Orleans Saints

Kellen Moore is a strong hire, but the roster still needs work. There’s no clear long-term answer at quarterback, and until that’s addressed, this team is stuck in neutral.

24. Dallas Cowboys

This organization continues to make puzzling decisions. Promoting internally after moving on from the head coach feels risky. There’s still star power with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons—but the direction is unclear.

23. New York Giants

A true sleeper team. There’s young talent across the board—Jaxon Dart, Cam Skattebo, Malik Nabers—but they need to prove it. If things click, this team could jump into the top 15 quickly.

22. Pittsburgh Steelers

This roster feels old, and the coaching situation lacks stability. Moving on from Mike Tomlin—who never had a losing season—could come back to haunt them.

21. Baltimore Ravens

Even after moving on from John Harbaugh, the concerns go deeper. This roster is aging, injuries are piling up, and the overall trajectory feels like it’s trending downward.

20. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts started hot last year, but things fell apart after Daniel Jones went down. Now they’re banking on his return—but at a steep cost. Losing key players and draft capital could hurt them long-term.

19. Cincinnati Bengals

This ranking comes down to coaching. Zac Taylor’s track record is concerning, especially given the talent on this roster. At some point, you have to ask—are they wasting Joe Burrow’s prime?

18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

A team that continues to fluctuate. There’s enough talent to stay competitive, and Baker Mayfield provides stability—but consistency is still an issue.

17. Carolina Panthers

A young team on the rise. They found a way to win their division last year, and while they’re not dominant yet, the trajectory is pointing up.

16. Kansas City Chiefs

This might be the boldest take on the list—but the dynasty feels like it’s slowing down. With Patrick Mahomes coming off an injury and younger AFC teams rising, Kansas City may be transitioning rather than dominating.

15. Minnesota Vikings

Talent isn’t the issue—clarity is. The quarterback situation remains uncertain, and until that’s resolved, it’s hard to fully trust this team.

14. Atlanta Falcons

Kevin Stefanski could be the perfect fit here. After being a scapegoat in Cleveland, he now takes over a roster with potential. Don’t be surprised if Atlanta wins the NFC South.

13. Houston Texans

Consistency matters—and Houston has it. Back-to-back playoff appearances under a defensive-minded coach, plus a proven QB in C.J. Stroud, makes this one of the safer teams in the league.

12. Jacksonville Jaguars

A young, talented roster with a strong offensive mind in Liam Coen and a franchise QB in Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars are right in the mix to win the AFC South again.

11. Detroit Lions

A bounce-back season feels likely. The NFC North is loaded, but Detroit has enough talent to make a playoff push—and possibly be part of a three-team playoff division.

10. Buffalo Bills

The decision to move on from Sean McDermott is questionable. Still, as long as Josh Allen is under center, this team remains dangerous.

9. Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Herbert and Jim Harbaugh is a pairing that works. The question now is simple—can they finally get past the Wild Card round?

8. Philadelphia Eagles

Still a strong team led by Jalen Hurts, but recent playoff struggles keep them just outside true contender status.

7. Chicago Bears

A breakout postseason and a bright future. Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams could be one of the most exciting offensive pairings in the league.

6. Los Angeles Rams

Sean McVay continues to prove he’s one of the best young coaches in the NFL. Even with Matthew Stafford aging, this team continues to find ways to compete at a high level.

5. San Francisco 49ers

The talent is undeniable—but health is everything. If they can avoid the injury bug, this is a top-tier team. Losing Robert Saleh could impact the defense, though.

4. Green Bay Packers

A well-coached, balanced team with a rising quarterback in Jordan Love. The next step is proving they can win in the playoffs.

3. Denver Broncos

If Bo Nix stays healthy, this team is a serious contender. They were close last year—and could take the next step in 2026.

2. New England Patriots

Drake Maye’s breakout season has changed everything. Pair that with Mike Vrabel’s leadership, and this team suddenly looks like a legitimate contender.

1. Seattle Seahawks

The defending champions sit at the top. With an elite roster and one of the best head coaches in football, Seattle has a real shot to go back-to-back.
